College Counseling - What is it?
Everyone knows that today, it takes more than a high GPA and SAT score to get admitted into top schools. Just look at the statistics! For the Class of 2008, Harvard University rejected 93 out of every 100 applicants with a 7.1% admittance rate. The competition is getting tougher every year.
That is why HS2 offers a full-service College Admissions Counseling program for students in the 5th-12th grades. With our monthly one-to-one meetings, students feel motivated to do their best in school and have a personal Counselor to keep them accountable to their goals. Our success rate has been tremendous - we have helped over 600 students get into the most prestigious colleges and universities in the United States so far, many of them successfully entering the Ivy Leagues and the UC system!
Our College Counselors
All our Counselors are trained to be "success" counselors, drawing from our diverse backgrounds as former admissions officers, teachers, school counselors, and educators. Using insider information from admissions offices from UCLA to Harvard, Counselors are fully equipped to help students develop healthy study skills, manage their stress and time, get good grades in school, plan SAT and ACT testing, and of course, put together excellent college application packages. Our current Counselors are from UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, Claremont Graduate University, Cornell, Washington University St. Louis, Pomona, and Harvard University.
